Our plugins are ready for WordPress 6.8 and WooCommerce 9.8

As always, we’ve got your back. With the recent releases of WordPress 6.8 and WooCommerce 9.8, we’re happy to confirm that all Naked Cat Plugins — both free and premium — are fully compatible with these new versions.

Built for the future — Ahead of time

At Naked Cat Plugins (formerly PT Woo Plugins), we don’t wait for official releases to start working. Our development process is always aligned with the latest WordPress and WooCommerce nightly, beta, and release candidate versions. That means we’ve been testing our plugins with WordPress 6.8 and WooCommerce 9.8 for a long time already — so your site stays stable, secure, and fast.

Even if you don’t see a new version of a plugin with updated “Tested up to” tags, rest assured: you’re safe to upgrade. And if you ever do run into an issue? Just contact us — we’re here to help (as always, use the wordpress.org forums for the free plugins and the support link next to your license key for premium plugins)

Oh, and full disclosure: Quica and Maria — our resident Sphynx cats and honorary QA team members — may or may not have lounged across a few keyboards during testing. If you spot any bugs, blame the tail swipes. 🐾

What’s new in WordPress 6.8?

WordPress 6.8, codenamed Cecil, brings several exciting updates to the editing experience and accessibility, including:

  • Grid layout support in the Site Editor for more complex, responsive designs.
  • A revamped pattern management system, including synced patterns.
  • Accessibility improvements across the dashboard and front end.
  • Enhanced data views for blocks in the editor, making content management smoother.

These updates reflect the platform’s ongoing commitment to empowering users with more flexible design tools and better performance — and we’re all in (even if Maria is more interested in chasing mouse cursors than editing patterns).

WooCommerce 9.8: More modern and more visual

WooCommerce 9.8 introduces some fantastic UX and developer-focused improvements. We’ve been testing our WooCommerce-focused plugins against these changes from day one.

Here are a few of the highlights:

  • A modernized design for the WooCommerce admin experience, continuing its visual evolution.
  • Email previews for store owners to easily view and test transactional email templates.
  • Under-the-hood improvements that ensure better compatibility with the evolving WordPress ecosystem.

Whether you’re running a simple store or a large-scale eCommerce site, WooCommerce 9.8 continues to refine the experience for both store owners and developers — and all our plugins are ready.

Quica approves. We caught her pawing at the new UI in excitement.

Time to move forward: Updated plugin requirements

To keep the ecosystem moving forward — and to help protect your site’s performance and security — we’re making an important shift.

From now on, all Naked Cat Plugins will require at least:

  • WordPress 5.8
  • WooCommerce 7.1
  • PHP 7.2

Why the change? Because we want to:

  • Encourage modern, secure, and performant hosting environments.
  • Leverage newer platform features and improvements.
  • Focus on building better products without being held back by outdated versions.

Most users are already well beyond these versions — but if you’re not, now’s the time to upgrade.

If you have any questions about plugin compatibility, new requirements, or feline-related keyboard mishaps, just get in touch. We’re always happy to help.
